Women marines, former women Marines, wives, widows, mothers, daughters, grandmothers, granddaughters, sisters, stepmothers, step-daughters and daughters-in law of a marine or of a former marine eligible to belong to the Marine Corps League, Inc. (not less than 16 years of age)

Eligibility for Associate Membership:
If you do not qualify for Regular Membership, you may apply for an Associate Membership.  (not less than 16 years of age)

Rockland County Marine Corps League Auxiliary


Our Mission Statement

The Marine Corps League Auxiliary is an organization dedicated to assisting the community, upholding the values of American institutions and the United States Marine Corps.

The Marine Corps League Auxiliary is involved in various activities, such as: VA hospital and nursing home volunteering, youth programs, civic affairs, elderly services, scholarship programs, and community support.

Not even a  year old, the Rockland County Unit was presented with the 2011 Outstanding Unit Award

Recruiter of the year plaque went to
President Marty Erickson.

We are now 31 members and are 5 years old; 3 memebers are Mothers of people currently serving; Karin Leffler, Karen Kormusis sons are serving in the USMC; Heidi Ericksons son is serving in the US Air Force.  Gold Star Mother Vickie Vahaviolos is active with the unit.

The RCMCLA will present 2 awards to Girl Scout troops: an outstanding Scout award will be announced and a special Americanism Civics award to the Girl Scouts of Saint Pauls School in Congers in September. Their chorus entertained with an amazing collection of patriotic songs at the Veterans Cemetery, Memorial Day, and went to work at K&E helping after the  wonderful picnic given by K&E Post 1600! Americanism Chairman is Karin Leffler.

There will be 2 fund raisers: a coin drop in Pearl River, NY at the patriotic Shop-Rite and a raffle to win a show & dinner at Westchester Dinner Theater. The choice of show and date will be up to the winner, good for 1 show within the year. Co-Chairmen are Wendy Williams and Shari Bennington. Sr. Vice President Nancy Bergerman is Fund Raising General Chairman.

Anyone interested in the Auxiliary of the County League may contact Junior Vice President/Membership Chairman Pamela Ehlers. Information on bereavement, illness or joy may be given to Chaplain Camille Conklin.

Programs have been "All you wanted to know about the Auxiliary uniform" by Captain of the Guard Mary Leighton, Volunteer records submitted to Headquarters by Sr. Vice Bergerman, and  Wounded Warriors memory books of Wounded Warriors Chairman Frank Veggiano, RCMCL Detacment.

- Service to the Veterans Pet Rescue Mission

- Presentation of Certificate of Appreciation to THE ROCKLAND COUNTY ARC for volunteerism assisting Pet Rescue Project

- Gifts of 40 Tops for tots (handmade crocheted hats and scarves) to children of deployed military attached to MAG 49

- Sweets for children of MAG 49 military that accompanied Thanksgiving meals for military given by the Detachment

-Marine Corps Rose ceremony presented to widows service at 4 Detachment members memorial services

- Recipient of National Award for "Programs of Pride" competition

- Recipient of Honorable Mention for Memory book
